My first visit here was a Monday afternoon about 4PM. I was staying downtown and hoped to find somewhere close to my hotel to get vegan food. I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan restaurant within a 10 minute walk from my hotel, with the added bonus of having great reviews. To make sure I could try this place. I had to eat dinner a little early as they close at 5 PM. I ordered the barbecue nachos and the veggie burger, hoping to have some left to take back to my hotel room. The owner, Jemil, was great, telling me why he started the business and about his food. As well, he remembered from our discussion that I wanted to carry one of the items back to the hotel to eat later. To this, he chose the burger and kindly packaged it up for carry out...complete with a toy water gun to beat the 100 degree heat. Ha! In short, the barbecue nachos were good, but the veggie burger and sweet potato fries were fantastic! The Veggie burger is made fresh by Jemil and was well seasoned, moist and very flavorful. I don't know what all is in his veggie patti, but zoom in on my picture and you will see small pieces of real vegetables (zucchini). Topped with avocado slices, greens and condiments, it was addictively good. This has got to be one of, if not the best, veggie burgers I've ever had, and this coming from a past meat eater until about four weeks ago. I'll probably stay at a hotel downtown on my next business trip to Little Rock just so I can eat here again.

This place is absolutely amazing. My husband surprised me with food from The Veg while I was away working in Little Rock. The OWNER was kind enough to deliver it to me after talking to my husband. The food was so great! I had the BBQ nachos, burger, sweet potato fries, and cookies! I'm anxious to go back as soon as I am back for work!

This little vegan gem was super cool! Good food, good people! Love its style & quirkiness! Food is "unhealthy" health food and boy oh boy was it scrumptious. We tried the BBQ Nachos & the BBQ Cauliflower Wings with Sweet Potato fries & Spicy Ketchup! My honey and I both agree that we loooved the bbq sauce! Their desert for the day was creme brulé and we tried the chocolate one. It was so yummy that we ordered another one and a nutmeg and cinnamon flavored one too! 3 deserts and no shame here! Haha. They even came in these cute little jars that we got to keep and our cashier was so friendly and gave us a complimentary homemade magnet that will be put on our fridge! ;) Thanks for serving Vegan food!

Even if you've never dreamed of trying vegan food, this place is amazing! Try everything: the veggie burger, sweet potato fries, "tuna" salad, BBQ, punch and anything else they offer you!

I loved it! It was hard to find (its in the marketplace - not visible from the street). I had the cauliflower "wings", and they were awesome. They came with a side of sweet potato fries, and those were really good, too. I hope that lots of other people find this place and appreciate it. I really want it to stick around so I can keep coming back!

I read all of the reviews and I was so excited to try this place--sadly, its definitely been over hyped. The good: 1. The gentleman working that morning (we arrived at 11am) was polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. His suggestion (the bbq nachos) was the best thing we ordered. 2. The food came out hot and service was fast! 3. The menu offered a large variety. The bad: 1. Their refrigerated unit was out, so no soft drink, water or drink options of any kind were available (not a terrible thing because we just went to a nearby vendor to get one) 2. The portions served are crazy large--each order was enough for 2 people. 3. We got 3 items for $36--cauliflower hot wings, bbq nachos & a lobster roll w/ sweet potato fries. Which I think is pretty pricey. It would be far better to reduce serving sizes and charge less. 4. Of those 3 things we ordered the only thing that was flavorful was the BBQ nachos. I would definitely eat those again! The lobster roll is served on a super yummy bread--but that's where the yumminess ended. The sweet potato fries were blah (literally just sliced potatos, no seasoning, spice or glaze to enhance or compliment their natural flavor). Whatever was inside the roll was even more bland and tasteless (if that's possible). The cauliflower hot wings were covered in some weird meal/breading and then drizzled with hot sauce. The breading was unexpected (and unwanted) and did nothing to contribute to the dish. We expected them to be covered with the sauce, glazed, dipped or dunked--whatever, like traditional hot wings. So the little drizzle of sauce was soooo disappointing (especially since that was the only part of the dish that tasted like something) :-( The in between: I like the concept of the place and I'd go back again to try the fish sandwich and veggie burger, becausse maybe those have more intense flavors. Everything was fresh, well prepared, attractive to the eye, served hot and the staff was great. I just wish the food TASTED as good as it looked.

Vegan divine! I stopped here because I was traveling to Little Rock and wanted to see what one of the only vegan restaurants near me had to offer. This was an AMAZING experience! First off, it's inside this little market place. I almost missed it because I thought it would be its own separate business. The staff member who served me and my friend was very nice and was excited about telling us about the dishes. He knew the menu very well and chatted us up for a bit. The food was unique and delicious! I knew it would be my only trip here (at least for a long time) so I got 3 things LOL! Don't judge! And my friend had the BBQ Nachos - so obviously I tried those too. I had the lobster roll, a fish sandwich (special?), and the cauliflower wings. I so badly wanted a dessert but they were out :( The lobster roll was the thing I finished completely. It was just too good to put down! The cauliflower wings were super tasty with a bit of crispness to the outside. Mmmhh. And the fish sandwich special was good too, but my least favorite out of everything I tried (but by no means bad). The sandwiches came with sweet potato fries which were fresh and yummy! Although not crispy (but isn't it super hard to get sweet potatoes to crisp up?) For 3 things I paid $26 so I thought that was totally worth it! If you're in Little Rock, you have to come and try the food here! I definitely recommend the lobster roll and BBQ nachos!

I've had almost everything on the menu at The Veg, but I have to say the veggie burger and bbq nachos are my favorite. The owners are two great young men who definitely deliver with the food and service.

The day has finally come: Little Rock has an all-vegan restaurant, which was much needed and now much appreciated. First of all the service is very friendly, and whenever I've been I've gotten to sample recipes that the cooks have been working on. All delicious of course, just like everything I've ordered from here. I had one friend make a joke about vegan food being "rabbit food," but then help me eat my nachos and peach cobbler. Just be sure to get there early, as they sometimes can run out of things - an indicator that the food is good, albeit a slightly disappointing one at times. Luckily the menu seems to be constantly changing and updating (especially since a lot of the food is made fresh from scratch), so there's always something new to try.

I have to agree with the other reviewers on this one-this place is definitely 5 stars! I promise even non-vegans/vegetarians will enjoy this delicious food. The staff was extremely friendly. They didn't act like your typical employees; they were passionate about vegan food and seemed intent to make you a delicious meal (which they cook right in front of you). I had the BBQ nachos and lasagna (the special of the day). Both were full of unique and amazing flavors. I have eaten at many vegan restaurants in my hometown of Chicago, but this place tops them all! Great prices for the quality of the food.

My husband and I were biking the River Trail and popped over the bridge for lunch. The Veg is inside the market with several other vendors. We ordered the lobster roll with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was tasty and the bread was crusty and fresh. The fries were very lackluster. Overall...just an okay meal.

Excellent vegan food. The gumbo was to die for. We also tried the quesadilla which was quite good also. As was the peach clobber. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

I've just enjoyed a great tasting bean burger and sweet potato fries (freshly peeled to order). And a free cookie for dessert! The staff are friendly and happy to explain their menu. Would definitely recommend a visit from anyone in the area.

Fantastic service and delicious vegan fare! Stopped in for a quick bite before our departure from Little Rock. This place was a refreshing departure from all the BBQ places and whatnot that we had been bombarded with in Murfreesboro and Arkadelphia. This place harkened back to the health-full eating we were more accustomed to! Had the veggie burger, which was homemade out of black beans, carrots, herbs, onions, and a touch of cumin. It was amidst a soft grain bun and topped with tomato and avocado, along with a spicy vegan mayo/ketchup/mustard sauce. It also came with thick-cut, baked sweet potato wedges, which had just the right amount of saltiness to them; they were obviously baked and added a nice complement to the veggie burger. We also had a delightful vegan chocolate chip cookie - it was warm, soft, and delicious! Not exceedingly sweet, but still satisfied our sweet tooth. The register clerk and cook were both very congenial and made easy conversation. Food preparation was pretty quick despite it being made to order. Definitely will head back here again if back in the area!

Amazing food - great to have a place like this in Little Rock. Here for one day, and based on the other reviews made it my first stop from the airport for lunch. Couldn't have picked a better place. The staff are great - he suggested the lobster roll (grilled artichoke hearts) on a grilled bun - and i'm glad i took him up on his suggestion. Amazing lunch - next time im in town i'm definitely coming back. Only hiccup was the IPad they use to take credit cards - a little beat up and took 7 -8 tries before i could pay the bill. They could use a new one

Had the great luck of stopping by The Veg while in Little Rock for a conference. Ended up having an amazing time talking with the man behind the counter, who's one of the owners. He cooked up some truly delicious yam fries and a veggie burger that was certainly better than anything I expected to find in LR. Had the one smoothie option on the menu, which was full of berries and just a pinch of cinnamon. The service couldn't have been nicer and I'd recommend The Veg to any and all, vegan or not.

Must stop for vegans and/or vegetarians if you live in or are visiting the Little Rock area. The service is fantastic and the food is just as good. I had the burger and sweet potato fries. I am vegan and I miss cheesecake and their blueberry cheesecake made me feel like I was eating the real thing. Also got some chocolate chip cookies for the road as well.
